Ganapati Hegde
Ganapati Hegde, born in Kumta, Karnataka in 1974, moved to Bangalore to complete his education. He has a Bachelor of Arts from Karnataka University and also a Diploma in Drawing and Painting from the Ken school of Arts. Hegde started his career as a Creative Designer at a prestigious software company while pursuing his passion for painting. Hegde’s inspiration comes largely from nature. In his words, “My works are based on Nature’s bounty; fantasy and horrifying complex structures, collage of leaves, animals, body organs with contemporary thoughts.”
He is a recipient of several state, national and international awards for his drawing and painting, most recently being the National Award from Lalith Kala Academy of Art for 2009-10.
He has participated in several solo and group shows in India and UAE.
