Born in Andhra Pradesh, Nagesh Goud has contributed tremendously to the Indian art scene. Known for depicting epics like the Mahabharata and Ramayana, Goud’s work transcends the descriptions of abstract or figurative art. His characteristically bold work has intertwined mythological narration and the foundations of leather puppetry from Andhra. Nagesh Goud has had his work exhibited internationally and has received numerous prestigious awards from the Hyderabad Art Society, JNTU and was “highly commended” by the Lalit Kala Samiti, Siddipet. Goud lives and works in Hyderabad now. His aim is to express his visual imagination through various mediums of oil pastels, acrylics, metallic inks and more.
