Kavita Jaiswal
An exponent of contemporary abstract expressionism, Kavita Jaiswal has been working for over 30 years. She was recently awarded the prestigious Fellowship for Distinguished Achievements and Life time contributions in Fine Arts, constituted by HIFA, awarded by the eminent jury headed, Chairman Lalit Kala Akademi New Delhi in 2013. She is also a recipient of the National Scholarship for her work in 1985 and the National Fellowship for her work by the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India from 1996-98. Kavita was awarded the Charles Wallace India Trust Award by the British Council in 2001 as Artist in residence at the Edinburgh Print Makers Scotland. In 1988 she was awarded by the All India Award at the Golden Jubilee Exhibition of the All India Fine Arts and Crafts Society New Delhi. In 1986 the State Award was conferred upon her by the Sahitya Kala Parisad New Delhi. In 1985 Kavita received the All India Award by the All India Fine Arts and Crafts Society, New Delhi.
